Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actor from America. Her most famous part is as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. As a result of her portrayal as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. After the end of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also remembered for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received nominations for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald, an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover meals.
